This was the important application/interview that I mentioned months ago, but didn't want to talk about because I didn't want to jinx it. I just got the e-mail saying that I've been accepted into the program! I really can't believe that I'll be going back to Japan! I won't find out where I'll be placed in Japan for another month or two though, so I'm still anxiously waiting about that.

I'm filled with such a huge mix of emotions right now. I almost started crying because of it. I'm so excited that I get the chance to go back to Japan for an extended period of time. I really don't think I can even describe it. I'm also anxious because I'll be leaving my life in America behind for a while. There will be people that I'll miss terribly and I know a lot of things at home will change while I'm gone. So, I would say that overall I'm happy, but nervous. I'm trying my best not to focus on the nerves right now though. (There'll be plenty of time for that later.) I have a bunch of people that I still need to go tell about my results!

I am internally flailing around like my icon right now and I think I will be for a while~

I found a great way to spend a couple of hours tonight. My friends and I went to a drag queen show! I figured why not, since it was being held for free at the dorm across the street from ours. It was fabulous! The drag queens were awesome and there was free pizza. I really should have been reading more material for my paper instead, but that's okay. This was much more fun.

Today's Shoebox update totally made my whole day!
