They'll call it chance, or luck, or call it Fate

I arrived back at school this morning. I'm mostly settled in now. Not really looking forward to classes starting again, but it's good to be back in Bloomington.

This past week was pretty eventful. DJ and I went out to Tommy Nevin's on Sunday night. Josh is the bartender/manager there now, so he made us some delicious drinks for free. On Tuesday, Allison and Alyssa took me out for a belated birthday dinner at Olive Garden, and DJ came along. Afterwords we all watched Easy A, which I enjoyed. Thursday, Mom took me out to lunch at the new Asian fusion restaurant in town. Then that night DJ and I went over to Alex's house, where we ended up spending part of the night having drinks with her mom, Tyra. Lol. On Friday, Chris treated me to lunch at Chipotle because we hadn't gotten to see each other much over break. Then I spent the rest of the day with Allison, Alyssa, Elise, and Noe, so that we could celebrate Elise's birthday. We went to glow in the dark space mini golf, which was a lot more fun than I thought it would be. Then we went to dinner at Baker's Square. And finally yesterday night we had a family get-together with Dad's side of the family. It was a really nice time. I love Dad's side of the family, so I really enjoy family gatherings with them. After that, I took one more opportunity to go to Denny's with DJ. And then I came home, got 4 hours of sleep, and Dad and I hit the road.

So, now I'm just chilling out on the couch with Greta. I'm so tired. I dozed a bit on the ride here, but it's hard to get really good sleep in the car. I'm probably going to spend the rest of the day relaxing and possibly playing some Persona 3.

I had a nice time for the rest of my break. On Wednesday, Mom and I had dinner with Tami and Hayden at Applebee's. It was good to see them for a bit. Hayden is such a little cutie. I mostly spent the rest of my time either laying around or hanging out with DJ. We ran around with Allison and Alyssa for a bit on Thursday night. Then I spent the day with DJ on Friday. That night all of my friends met up for dinner at Denny's with Leyla. I hadn't seen her in forever, so it was good to check in with her! Friday night was spent at DJ and Elise's apartment again. We woke up in the morning to realize that it had snowed outside, which completely sucked because it had been 60 degrees the day before.

Back in Bloomington now. Classes start tomorrow. Not too excited about that, but it's nice to be back in Bloomington. There where however two exciting packages waiting at the house! One was Nicole's dolly and another was for me from meepalicious. (Here's the pictures you requested, Leslie!)

Break has been going fine so far. I watched Gaga's new "Telephone" video about half a dozen different times on Friday. I love it! On Friday night, I hung out with DJ. I was super happy to see him. He's one of my closest friends and I miss him terribly when I'm at school. We grabbed dinner together, then ended up going back to his apartment. Allison and Alyssa came over, and so did DJ's new boyfriend Noel, and Noel's friend Shane. I approve of Noel more than I have of most of DJ's other boyfriends. Noel and Shane were sweet and watching the two of them argue back and forth (not seriously) was hilarious. Saturday morning, Dad and I ran over to Best Buy. He was nice enough to buy me a new external harddrive because my current one is dying, and I need someplace to properly back-up my files. So, I have a brand new 1 TB harddrive. I'm quite pleased. I also bought myself a copy of the new Ponyo DVD. Yay! Allison, Alyssa, and I stayed over at DJ and Elise's apartment on Saturday night. We ended up watching Dinoshark, which is a kind of awesomely horrible B-movie. It was pretty laughable. In the morning, we grabbed breakfast at Dunkin' Donuts. Then, I visited both Grandmas on Sunday. Yesterday, I did a whole lot of nothing. That looks to be today's plan, as well.

The thing about break is, I enjoy having the house to myself during the day, but I eventually start getting lonely. My family is always gone most of the day. Half of my friends aren't on break right now and the ones that are around are busy with their own lives. So, that basically leaves me stuck in the house with a whole lot of nothing to do. It's nice for a little while, but it eventually starts getting on my nerves. Oh, well. I would rather be bored at home right now, than be doing homework at school.

Well, that was interesting. I originally had an entire other entry to make, but that can wait. Today was a lovely day, with gorgeous weather. Had a nice dinner with Emily and her friends. Then, I came home to find that we had a gas leak. Our downstairs smelled like gas. We were kind of freaked out, so we called the local, non-emergency fire department number to see what they suggested. They said that we should call 911, so we did. The fire department came out and the nice firemen turned off our water heater because it was leaking gas. They also turned off our furnace, just in case. Luckily, it's not too cold tonight. Downside, we have no hot water. Maintenance is supposed to to come by tomorrow to check stuff out. Hopefully, they are competent because the maintenance guy was totally copping an attitude with Emilia, when she was on the phone with him. Bitch please. We will take you out. And then Kristi went out and bought us some delicious French silk pie to make things better. All I have to say is that I'm glad this happened before spring break and not while we were all gone.

On the bright side, I get to leave for break after class tomorrow! Super excited to go home for a bit! I just want to relax and hang out with my friends.

Break has been going pretty good. Mom and I went downtown to see Wicked yesterday! It was so awesome! Definitely the best production I've seen. I'm really glad I got the chance to see it before it leaves Chicago at the end of the month.

Most of the rest of my time has been spent lazing around the house, or hanging out with friends. A bunch of my friends got together at Leyla's house last week. We did karaoke and played games, like Spoons and Taboo. It was a lot of fun. It was really good to see Leyla because I haven't seen her in forever.

I've also been spending a lot of time with DJ over break. We've been going shopping, watching movies, eating at Denny's in the middle of the night, and going out for coffee or smoothies during the day. I'm going to miss that boy when I go back to school.

And I've very recently fallen in love with the band Tokio Hotel. They're a popular German band, who put out an English CD this past year. I've been listening to their music a lot. I really like their sound. And their lead singer Bill is completely gorgeous! Listening to them makes me realize that it's been a while since I've really gotten into any bands outside of J-rock.

Spring break starts tomorrow! I get to go home tomorrow afternoon and I can't wait! I haven't been home since winter break, so it'll be nice to be back. 

For those of you who don't know yet, I've decided that I want to cosplay Tieria (his normal outfit, not the pilot suit). I've been thinking about doing a second costume for ACen this year, but I wasn't sure. I decided on Tieria because of my recent Gundam obsession and the fact that the costume should be fairly easy to put together. So, yes. I am excited! XD

I've been busy the past couple weeks. Saw some family members. Spent a lot of time hanging out with friends. New Year's party was pretty fun, even though the reindeer tipping kind of failed. Went to Denny's and Steak & Shake in the middle of the night with DJ, Kevin, & Elise. This week was Elise's birthday party. She had a fondue party and it was delicious. I also saw Meghan not quite every day this week. Spent some money at the comic book store and went out for sushi. I'm also registered for this year's Acen!

The biggest thing I did over break was cut my hair.
 
Now must go finish packing crap. I'm going back to IU tomorrow. When I'm done packing I plan to go watch more of the Hana Kimi dorama. All doramas are on crack. The end.
 

Early Merry Christmas everyone!

Break has been going well. I've missed all my friends from home and it's so nice to be able to spend time with them again. Had a nice dinner at suissecheeze's house. We made some yakitori and okonomiyaki. It actually turned out pretty good. Friday a bunch of us went downtown to the Children's Museum at Navy Pier. We spent the afternoon retrogressing to the age of 5. 


Then, that night, we went to see Sweeney Todd. Honestly, I wouldn't have gone to see it if Johnny Depp wasn't in it. I knew what it was going to be about, but that didn't stop me from being somewhat grossed out at all the throat slitting and meat pies. Oh, twisted humor. But, it was an interesting movie and I think Johnny Depp did a great job in it. Although, it did cause me to suspiciously eye the ground beef we had in our tacos at dinner the next night.

And now I need to go grab food. Have not eaten yet today. Am starving.

I saw Rent at the IU auditorium last week and loved it! Since then I've been going around with random songs from the musical stuck in my head. I want the soundtrack!

I'm going home for Thanksgiving break today. I'm looking forward to relaxing and seeing everybody back at home!
