They'll call it chance, or luck, or call it Fate

I bought my ticket for Miyavi's Chicago concert yesterday! I'm super excited that I'll get to see him again, this time at a smaller venue! And Meghan found out that she will be home this summer, so she's coming with me. It should be awesome, just like the time we went to the Ayabie concert.

This past week seemed pretty long, so I was super glad it was the weekend. Yesterday was fun. I went over to Emily's house for part of the afternoon. She had a number of people over for tea and mahjong. Most of us had never played real mahjong before, so Emily taught us. I really enjoyed it. I even managed to win a round. Then Jamie was in town, so we skipped anime club to have dinner with her.

A meme frommelody1228. She gave me five words that remind her of me. Now I get to elaborate on them.

1. Chicago - My favorite city. I've lived in the suburbs of Chicago all my life. It's such an awesome place. I love getting to go downtown because there's always so much to do there.

2. IU - Indiana University, the college I go to. When I was choosing which college I was going to attend, my decision was between DePaul and IU. I ended up choosing IU because I loved the campus. It's a huge and beautiful place. I don't regret my decision at all. My times at IU have been some of the best of my life. I've made some wonderful friends there. That's why I look forward to my remaining two years on the campus.

3. Lightsaber - I have been a huge Star Wars fan since I was in elementary school. melody1228 is also a huge fan of Star Wars. When I think of lightsabers, I am mostly reminded of the time a few summers back when melody1228 and I had an epic "lightsaber" battle in her backyard. This was basically us running around, fighting each other with yardsticks. We had so much fun, lol.

4. Japan - I have had an interest in the country since I was in junior high. I started watching anime and this made me want to learn more about Japan. I developed a genuine interest in the country and it's culture. It's so different from America and I think it's fascinating. And I'm super excited because in the fall I finally get to realize my dream of visiting Japan.

5. Reading - Ever since I can remember I've always loved reading. It's one of my favorite past times. In my mind there are few things that can beat curling up with a good book. Regrettably, I don't always have the time to read as much as I used to, especially during the school year. One of the things that I love about being home for the summer is having more time to read.
