They'll call it chance, or luck, or call it Fate

Had a fun time with my friends today. This afternoon we set up a giant makeshift slip n' slide down one of the hills in Alyssa's backyard. When I say makeshift I really mean a giant roll of plastic, which we then hosed up and soaped down. It was awesome! It had been forever since I'd been on a slip 'n slide. Afterwards a bunch of us crammed into the shower all at once to wash off all the soap. We were still partially clothed though, lol.

Today I realized that I have accidentally managed to get DJ addicted to Twilight. I showed him the movie last week because he hadn't seen it. He then asked me to lend him my copy of the book yesterday. He read a good 300 pages of the book last night. And now he wants Edward Cullen all to himself. Lol. Oops. XD

I spent this weekend in Chicago, at Pride! It was so much fun!

Jamie and Alie came up to Chicago for the weekend. They picked up me and Allison, because we had volunteered to go with them. We then made our way into the city. We spent most of Saturday afternoon wandering around Michigan Ave. We had a surplus of food, given to us by Alie's mom, so Allison tried to be a good person and give some of it to the homeless people. She offered a box of Triscuits to a homeless man, but he turned her down! We ended up getting a hotel downtown for the night. It was a very nice room for the price. It even had a small kitchen. We were pleased.

Sunday morning we got up and checked out of the hotel. We had to check our luggage with the concierge. We didn't have any smaller bills to tip him with, so we gave him our pumpkin pie (that we didn't end up eating) as a tip. Lol. It was pretty amusing. Then we caught a taxi to Boystown. We spent some time just walking around, taking in all the interesting sights and rainbow of colors. We ended up going shopping at Gaymart, which I think is an awesome store name. It sold everything from T-shirts with funny gay sayings on them, to Doctor Who action figures. After that, it was time to find a spot to watch the parade from.

The parade was a lot of fun! We got a bunch of free stuff from it, like beads, stickers, rainbow bracelets, and condoms. At one point, the parade had to be stopped for around half an hour. It turned out that the float that was stuck in front of us was the Minibar float. This float consisted of more than a dozen cute gay guys, dancing around with each other, in nothing put pink undies. XD Eventually people started going up to the float asking for pictures with the guys, and some of them started dancing in the crowd. The float was playing a steady stream of music, so it turned into a mini dance party in the middle of the street. At one point the guys asked the crowd if we had any booze. It turned out that Jamie had some extra beer (none of the rest of our group were willing to drink any of it, because beer is icky), so we ran up and gave them the extra bottles. They were pleased and shared them amongst themselves. At this point it had started raining, so now we were dancing around in the rain. Unfortunately, with the pause in the parade, we had to leave the city before it was over. I enjoyed the weekend though. We decided that we want to go again next year.

The weather is really gorgeous today. It makes me happy. 

I was out with DJ again today. His boyfriend Josh was with us too (I like this one, even though he tends to remind me of a puppy). We got smoothies and went to the park. It was the perfect day for it. I've been hanging out with DJ quite a bit recently. I missed him while I was away at school. He's so much fun!

I think I'm gonna go read outside now. I'm nearly finished with The Vampire Lestat. :D

This past week I have:

1. Read all the current chapters of D.Gray-man manga. <3 Found it much better than the anime.

2. Gone swimming at Malak's house. Until her cell phone fell in the pool...

3. Gone swimming at Alyssa's. Found out Elise is back together with Andrew.

4. Slept over at Alyssa's while the rest of her family was out of town. Elise and Allison were there, too. Found out Allison's father thinks she is a lesbian, even though she is not. Had delicious cinnamon rolls for breakfast.

5. Gone to the sidewalk sale at the local comic book store with Meghan and Kevin. Bought some manga. We love our yaoi.  Have plans to get together with them this week.

6. Gone to Lisa's graduation party. Played musical chairs and further corrupted Ilene.

Need to go out today and buy some accessories for my laptop. May actually get to drive. Tami and Mike are coming over tonight with my godson Hayden (aka cutest baby ever). Yay!  They are also bringing Gizmo (aka crazy dog) with them.

Am in love with Miyavi's new single "Sakihokoru hana no you ni -Neo Visualizm-". It makes me want to dance.

I went to registration at school today. Got my schedule. It looks alright. Now I just have to see if I have any of my friends in my classes.

Being at the school made me realize that the summer is almost over. I can't believe school's starting in just a couple weeks. I'm not looking forward to more school work. At least I'll get to see my friends more once school starts back up.

I came back from Uncle Eric & Aunt Judy's house on Saturday. While I was gone I had some of the most fun I've had all summer. Harmony & I had a great time just hanging out. We spent large amounts of time just flopping (yes, flopping) at the house. We listened to the Beatles, went shopping, and watched movies (like Brokeback Mountain). And let's not forget watching the Project Runway marathon on Bravo. We got to go to the midnight showing of Pirates, which was abxiufahj so AWESOME!!! Then we spent the remainder of the week quoting the movie (Where's the monkey? I want to shoot something.). We totally geek out over PotC! I want the next movie now!

I went shopping yesterday and I got to buy the Dead Man's Chest soundtrack. It makes me very happy because I love Pirates music! And the version I got from Best Buy has 2 extra bonus songs. They're remixed dance versions of "He's a Pirate"!

Sorry for the lack of updates. There hasn't really been much of anything worth updating about (unless you want to hear my babbling about how awesome Kingdom Hearts 2 is, now that I've finally played it). I sit around the house and do very little.

Now I finally have something going on! July 1-8 I'm going to go visit relatives. I get to spend a week with my cousin Harmony! I can't wait because we are going to have so much fun! We always do.

This can't be good. It's one week into the summer and I'm already getting bored. I have no life. I can't really go anywhere or do anything because both my parents are at work all day. I need to either find a way to hang out with some of my friends or find something to occupy me. Otherwise this is going to be a long summer.

Yes! I am finally on break! *parties* I love the summer!
