They'll call it chance, or luck, or call it Fate

Today was a letdown. Cinema Bizarre, one of my favorite bands, announced that they're breaking up. I haven't even been a fan of them for a year, but they meant a lot to me. I had even hoped to see them in concert this year, as the band had been talking about an American tour. I got into their music during last spring, when I was going through a really hard time. As a result, they've meant a lot to me. That's why I'm so sad about their break-up. The members are going their separate ways and appear to be doing their own things. Their lead singer, Strify, is going solo, so I'll probably try and keep track of him. It won't be the same though.

Had a good weekend! Former roomie stellawind  came to visit me. We did things such as watching Advent Children for the umpteenth time. Of course, this time we had to watch the Whitney Lies subtitled version because stellawind  had not seen it yet. Lol. We also spent time on Youtube watching a ton of Cinema Bizarre videos and AMVs. On Saturday we got to talk to Koji on Skype! It had been forever since we had talked with her, so that made me happy. Spending time with stellawind  made me happy, as well. I missed her!

Been listening to Cinema Bizarre's new CD Toyz a whole bunch over the past few days. I am completely in love with it! I adore those boys so much. I think my favorite songs on the CD are "Toyz", "Hypnotized By Jane", "My Obsession", and "Je Ne Regrette Rien".  <3

Now, I'm just trying not to stress out too much. I have a ton of stuff to do this week, before I leave next Monday. Like decide what to pack in my luggage for 4 months in a foreign country. *sigh*

I'm home for the summer now. Finals sucked even more than usual. I caught a cold this past week and, of course, the day that I happened to be feeling the worst also happened to be the day that I had my two most difficult finals. It was not fun. I'm still feeling somewhat sniffly.

It's nice to be home, but I'm really going to miss all my friends at school. I won't see most of them for quite some time. A couple of them are graduating. The rest of them I won't see until I get back from Japan in January. At least I'll get to see Greta and Nicole in the fall though, because they'll be in Tokyo with me.

I read today that the release date for the new Cinema Bizarre CD, which was supposed to be released in June, is being postponed until August. This makes me a sad panda. :(

This weekend is also ACen weekend. I'm disappointed that I wasn't able to go this year, but I need to save money for Tokyo.

I am however going to go see Star Trek tonight! It should be awesome.

Things That Have Recently Made Erin Happy

1. I'm going to Japan in the fall! *flail*

2. My discovery of the band Cinema Bizarre. They are yet another German band that has English songs. I'm in love with them. That's two of the band members in my new icon up there. *points* First of all, their music is like an awesome mix of rock, pop, and electro. They're also gorgeous, with their visual kei inspired look. *_* Check them out!  I was also really amused to find out that some of the band members first met each other at an anime convention. And their lead singer's name is Strify, which is a reference to Cloud Strife. XD Stylish, geeky, pretty boys. Oh, yes. This makes Erin happy.

3. The new FMA anime. I really enjoyed watching the first episode. I think it'll be very interesting to see where this series goes. I can't get used to Roy's new voice yet though. I love Shinichiro Miki, but all I can think of everytime I hear Roy's new voice is Lockon. Roy's new voice just doesn't have that same smirky tone to it that I loved in the original series. I guess I just need to try and let go of the old anime and get used to the new one, so I can get the full amount of enjoyment out of watching it. Overall, I'm just happy that there's more FMA anime.
