So, on Friday night, I went with Meghan to pick up a copy of Breaking Dawn. Didn't really have time to read it until Sunday though.
On Saturday I went with Meghan and her family to Six Flags. It's been a couple years since I've last been there, so it was fun to go. At one pint during the day, we ended up waiting in line for three hours to go on the new Dark Knight ride. The ride was fun, but not worth a three hour wait. We went on the actual Batman ride at the very end of the day, after it had gotten dark. That was awesome. Batman is my favorite ride.
Been hanging out with DJ (and consequently Sarah and Savannah) for the past couple days. We've been catching up. I hadn't seen him for a few weeks because of his surgery. He's doing much better now though. We've mostly been going out for food and playing board games. Yes, I know it all sounds very exciting, but there's nothing like playing a nice game of Apples to Apples, or Cranium, every once in a while.

Wow. I wasn't expecting prizewinning literature or anything (I read Twilight for fun, not for the quality of the writing), but this book was definitely not what I was expecting. I don't know how much I liked the book. At least it was good for the lolz. I mean, Renesmee. Wtf? That's worse than naming your kid Albus Severus. Her nickname is Nessie. (On the subject of nicknames, since when has Jasper's nickname been "Jazz"? Fail.) And I was just not expecting Renesmee's whole existance. I thought vampires couldn't produce children. Her whole birth scene was just squicky. And I don't know how I feel about Jacob imprinting on Nessie. Just a bit weird. I was glad that Bella finally became a vampire, but disappointed that the adjustment period was so easy for her. It made her seem kind of like a Mary Sue. I was also disappointed by the ending of the book. After gathering all those vampires to go against the Volturi, and all that training, there was no actual battle. How anti-climactic. I'm glad the book had a happy ending, but I think a nice battle would have made things much more interesting. Overall, this book just let me down.
