Today was a fun time. I spent the day with [livejournal.com profile] meepalicious and [livejournal.com profile] serria .

First, we hit up Ikebukuro. We had lunch at Denny's and then headed for Otome Road. [livejournal.com profile] serria had never been there, so [livejournal.com profile] meepalicious and I felt that it was our duty as fellow fangirls to take her there. I may have bought a couple more doujinshi at the Mandarake. ^_^; I also bought a Gundam 00 teacup with chibi Lockon and Setsuna on it. It's super cute. Leslie has the corresponding Tieria and Allelujah cup. We got them in celebration of our usual Tea & Gundam.

We then made our way to the Square Enix store in Shinjuku. The store was a little hard to find because we accidentally went in the opposite direction of the way we were supposed to go. We did find the store though. The best part of the store was the nearly naked statue of Sephiroth in the floor! He was so realistic looking. It was awesome. The store had some really cool merchandise that I wish I could have bought, but I didn't get anything because I'm not exactly sure about my budget right now. I would've loved to have gotten the Shin-ra pin, or the charm of Axel's chakrams though. There was some cool Kingdom Hearts clothing, but the prices for it were ridiculous, like $140 for a cap and $98 for a scarf. I love you Squeenix, but I don't love you enough to spend that much money on your clothing.

After that, we stopped at Hamamatsucho to go to the Pokemon Center. I bought an Umbreon plushie there because they had a bunch of new Eevee merchandise. I also got my godson, Hayden, some little Pokemon figures as a Christmas present. Then, it was time to go home. We had originally planned to go to the Tokyo Tower as well, but it was getting a little late and we still had homework to finish.

I'm going to go study a little more for the Japanese quiz tomorrow, then go to bed. I want to be well rested because tomorrow, after class, I've got an 8 page paper to write about yaoi. Wish me luck.

I can't believe that I've been in Japan for a month already. It almost doesn't feel real. I think it's because I'm always so busy. Things take a while to sink in.

This past weekend was a fun time. Greta and I went to the Tokyo Game Show on Saturday! It was so cool to see all the latest video games. It will be interesting to see which games get American releases in the future. I was especially excited to go to the Square Enix booth. Some of the big stuff Squeenix was promoting was Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep and, of course, Final Fantasy XIII. I would have loved to have gotten a chance to try out both games, but they were ticketed events because they were so popular. I did get to see the newest trailers for both games though. They look like they should be pretty awesome. I am especially looking forward to FFXIII. Apparently Japan is too because there were already people cosplaying from FFXIII at the Game Show! It was so awesome to see the Japanese cosplayers~. I don't know what it is, but they always look especially amazing. I think the best cosplay I saw was of Vincent's Chaos form from Dirge of Cerberus. The wings were awesome. I was also super excited to see a lone FFXII cosplay. A girl was dressed as a really great looking Balthier. That kind of made my day. That and the Cloud Strife unisex perfume that was available at the Square Enix merchandise booth. Sadly, it was sold out by the time we got to the booth. I wonder what it smells like, lol.
