Everything's finally over. The wake was last night and the funeral was this morning. The wake was 5 hours, but it seemed to drag on forever. I hated seeing Grandpa there in the casket. He looked so fake, like he wasn't even real anymore. The funeral lasted a few hours, by the time the church service was over and we were finished at the cemetery. Everyone went to a luncheon afterwords. The food was good, but all I really wanted to do was go home.

I feel tired and crappy from crying so much.

I know this is the last thing msot people (myself included) ever want to hear, but I really am sorry, and I know how you feel. When I went to an open casket funeral, I completely freaked out. I couldn't go near the body. She looked so waxy. It was horrible. So, I can relate and I hope things ease up for you.

Thanks. I couldn't bring myself to go near my grandpa's body. Seeing him like that was too upsetting. I don't understand how other people were able to walk right up to him like it was nothing.

*points to above comment* Yeah, I can relate, too. My great-grandfather's funeral was barely a week ago, and it was open casket. It sucked. *hugs you like whoa*

how are you faring?
I know how the after funeral depression lastes forever, so I jsut wanted to see how you were feeling.

I'm doing better. Thanks for asking. I still miss my grandpa, but now that the funeral is over things aren't as depressing anymore.
