Today was my first payday! This is exciting on two levels: 1) because it's my first paycheck ever, 2) because it's my much needed first paycheck since arriving in Japan. I can't start saving a lot yet because I still need to pay the school back for my deposit on the apartment and rent/bills for this month, but it's a start. I should have enough to pay some bills and still have a bit of fun.

As a small celebration, I stopped by BookOff (a chain in Japan that sells secondhand books, CDs, DVDs, and video games). I bought the first volume of the Kuragehime manga for half the price I saw it at Animate, and the book looks like it's brand new. I also made an impulse purchase, 2NE1's To Anyone CD. I had actually been checking to see if they had any Big Bang CDs (which they sadly did not) when I found it. I stared at it for a couple minutes, admiring its shininess while debating on whether I was going to buy it. I decided to get it because the goal of the shopping trip was to have a bit of fun with my first paycheck (and it was a good price for the CD). I'm glad I did because it's a fun CD and it comes with a nice photo/lyric book. I love that the 2NE1 girls have attitude~

Tomorrow should be a fun day. My school's photography club invited me to go with them on their outing to Asakusa. I've been to Asakusa before, but I'm still looking forward to it. I think it'll be a good chance to hang out with some of the kids!

Edit: I forgot to mention another reason why I was happy with today. It rained most of the day today, which brought the weather to a nice cool temperature. It's been extra sticky and hot for the past week, so it was nice to be able to walk outside without feeling like I was going to melt.

Oh my god, bookoff, best store in Japan EVER! *lol* I started to develop a network of bookoffs that I'd visit for different purposes regularly, the prices are so good, and there's so much rare stuff to be found! Hope you have fun celebrating! ;)

I love BookOff, too! I'd been avoiding going to one so far because I knew I'd spend money there, but now that I'm getting payed, I'm allowing myself to go there again. xD

WHEN DID THAT HAPPEN? I actually sort of feel like an adult now though. That's a scary realization.

I took a bunch that I'll post when I'm being less lazy.
