Nov. 20th, 2010 08:58 pmSaw Deathly Hallows last night! I went with Greta, Nicole, and Saki.
I really enjoyed this adaptation! It probably helped that I've only read Deathly Hallows once though. (It was really emotional for me to read, so I haven't been able to bring myself to re-read it yet). Because of that I wasn't able to pick out all the imperfections in this one. So I was mostly left with stuff that I liked. I think my favorite scene was Harry and Hermione dancing together. It was adorable and exactly the kind of thing that I would want a friend to do for me if I was feeling down. I was also amused by the multiple Harrys scene. One thing that I thought was a bit off was Bill's introduction. The dialog felt a bit clunky and I wish they'd introduced him last movie. I did think all of the action in this movie was pretty well done though. The movie still made me sad. I ended up crying during when Harry visits James and Lily's grave. Dobby's death made me really sad, too. And then Voldemort opening Dumbledore's grave. I was waiting to see where they would end the movie and I feel that that was a pretty appropriate spot. I simultaneously can't wait until July and am saddened by the thought that the movies will end in July.
