Halloween weekend was a good time! We wanted to make it awesome because it was Holly's first Halloween. The weekend was kicked off when I got home from class on Friday. I walked in the door and Alie jumped a mile in the air. She had been playing Silent Hill 2 and was super jumpy because of it, lol. [livejournal.com profile] yaexrae arrived on Friday night. We then commenced Halloween geekery by carving the Gurren Brigade logo into our pumpkin. It looked pretty awesome.

On Saturday we got all dressed up in our costumes. I opted for the fishnets and cute punk dress route because we were going to Rocky Horror. After dressing up, we had a hurried dinner at Friday's (where we got free appetizers for being in costume). Then it was onto the 8 PM show of Rocky Horror. Poor Holly couldn't make it to Rocky Horror because her job at the costume store kept her late. Luckily, [livejournal.com profile] yaexrae and Cat opted to go pick her up and hang out with her while the rest of us were at the show. We were slightly late for the beginning of the show (because it took forever to get our dinner and bill), but got there before it was time for the Time Warp, which is what really matters. Rocky Horror was fun, but the midnight show we went to a couple years back had a better, more interactive crowd. (I have concluded that midnight showings of Rocky Horror are the only way to go.) After Rocky Horror, Greta, Alie, and I made our way to the zombie walk. Alie was dressed as a Silent Hill nurse, but Greta and I weren't zombified, so Alie then proceeded to cover our faces with zombie make-up. I looked kind of like a zombie whore at that point, lol. The walk was pretty cool. There had to have been at least a hundred people there. When it was time to begin, we proceeded to zombie walk/stumble our way down Kirkwood (the main street of downtown Bloomington). There were a lot of amused and weirded out onlookers. The best point was when a "hazmat team" showed up in hazmat suits with bullhorns. They told us they wanted to help us and tried to quarantine us with caution tape, which we broke through. After the zombie walk broke up, we met up with [livejournal.com profile] yaexrae, Cat, and Holly. Holly made a darling Madame Red. She still really wanted to go to Rocky Horror, so for one glorious moment we almost got to go to the midnight showing of Rocky Horror as well. We found out that the tickets were already sold out when we got there though. So, we went to the end of the Collins Halloween dance with [livejournal.com profile] immelmanturn. And afterwords, we made our way back to her apartment, where she fed us delicious food. I also learned that Jello shots are more difficult to eat than one might think.

On Sunday, we put our costumes back on. I opted to wear my Axel cosplay on Halloween. We wandered around outside for a bit and trick-or-treated at Zury's house. We went to Kirkwood for a bit, but most people were being lame and not wearing costumes because it was a Sunday night. Kirkwood was pretty dead, so we went back home and watched Nightmare Before Christmas. It was a nice end to the weekend.
