Apr. 15th, 2010 09:05 pmSo, today was Day of Silence at IU. I wore my free Day of Silence t-shirt from the campus GLBT center. I'm proud to say that I was silent nearly the whole day, with only two minor slip ups (reflexively saying "I'm sorry" when accidentally bumping into people). There was also at least one other person participating in every class I was in today. I'm sure it was quite amusing to watch Rubinger's class because I sit by Emily and Marie, who were both participating in Day of Silence, too. None of us could talk, so we were communicating through a series of elaborate charades and lip reading. Half the time none of us could figure out what the other was saying, lol. It was a good time though. I'm glad that I participated because I've always meant to in years past, but somehow always ended up forgetting about it, or being unable to participate for various reasons.
