I went to a wake last night. Ed, a family friend died. He and his family were our next door neighbors for many years, before we moved. He was just one of those all around good guys. But, this week he died from throat cancer. I feel so bad for his family. His daughter Becky is my age, and his son Jimmy is a few years younger. I used to be good friends with Becky when I was younger. I saw her for the first time in a while last night, and I just didn't know what to say to her. All I could do was hug her and tell her how sorry I was. And I really didn't know what to say to Cindy, Ed's wife. I don't know what she's going to do without him. It was all so sad.
