Jun. 14th, 2006 08:34 pmI hung out with Elise yesterday. We frolicked in my backyard for a good amount of time. The weather was so nice and I've been a hermit for most of the summer, so it was nice to be out in the fresh air. Then we watched the Fullmetal Alchemist movie and Advent Children. Elise agrees with me that Advent Children is awesome and that the FMA movie is too random. We spent quite some time mocking it. (Elise: We need to get to Shamballa to prevent World War III! Only the Elric brothers can save us from Bush's stupidity!) Elise is always up for some cynical mocking.
Ariel was over all day today. We spent the whole time watching and discussing anime (and it's slashy subtext). I had a bunch of fun! It's been a while since I've had an anime day with any of my friends. We decided to watch some Sailor Stars (the last season of Saior Moon) and some Kyou Kara Maou (which is crack). The whole day was filled with random anime jokes and comments. She also drew me huge amounts of amusing fanart. I always have a great time hanging out with Ariel, even if I don't see her that often. She's just a fun person to be with. It makes me sad that she's going away for the rest of the summer.
