I can't believe we're moving in just a few days. We get to start moving stuff in on the 29th and the movers are coming on the 30th. It'll be weird because I've lived in this house my whole life.

I am so sick of packing boxes. I never want to see another box in my life. They will haunt me in my sleep.

Ah, hello...
I was bored and stumbled upon your livejournal. I was looking for other people who like Hana Kimi, since it's all I can concentrate on at the moment. (I'm eagerly awaiting the seventh one...)
Anyways, the fact that your name is Erin and so is mine forced me to leave you a comment.

Sorry to be annoying.

Re: um...

Hello Erin!

I don't mind. It's nice to meet more people who like Hana Kimi (and have my name)! I'm hoping to get a copy of the 7th book next week. I can't wait to see what happens!

So who's your favorite Hana Kimi character? Mine is Umeda, because he makes me laugh.

Re: um...

[identity profile] hana-to-yume.livejournal.com 2005-08-06 09:43 am (UTC)(link)
Well...my favorite character would have to be Nakatsu. I love the way he's always overly-dramatic. I think it's hilarious. I especially like when his room-mate just appears out of nowhere and goes "Your aura is pink". Haha.

Is the 7th book definetly suppose to be out by next week? (I'm suddenly feeling very optomistic.)

Oh, and by the way, I was curious as to how you first started reading Hana Kimi. I saw the ad in the back of Angel Sanctuary book and was skeptical at first. (My friend and I made fun of it actually. The whole "The prettiest boy in school isn't a boy" thing threw me off. I ended up buying it on a whim and loved it.)

Re: um...

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_yaten_kou_/ 2005-08-06 11:10 am (UTC)(link)
I like Nakatsu, too. He's cute. I feel kind of sorry for him because Mizuki doesn't love him back. Actually I like most of the characters in Hana Kimi.

I hope the 7th book will be out by next week! I checked a few online stores and it was in stock, so I hope it'll be in stores soon (if it isn't already).

Hm. How did I start reading Hana Kimi? *thinks* I remember. I had ordered something from Viz's online store. The order came with a free Sneak Peek book. The first sneak peek was part of the first chapter of Hana Kimi. I read it and knew I had to get the manga. I bought it next time I went shopping.

What other manga do you read? I read a bunch of stuff. If you look in my user info you can see most of the manga I read (my mom thinks I read too much of it). Some of my favorites are Fruits Basket, Inuyasha, Yami no Matsuei, Sailor Moon, stuff by CLAMP, Gravitation, and Fushigi Yuugi.

Re: um...

[identity profile] hana-to-yume.livejournal.com 2005-08-06 01:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I think all the characters in Hana Kimi are cool. I mean, who could hate Sano...
When I looked online for the seventh book it said 'not published yet'. Maybe the store people lied jsut to throw me off...
My mum says I read too much manga too. She is constantly nagging me and asking why I spend so much on manga. Then she gets insulting and says that they're jsut glorified comic books. Oneday I'll jsut force her to read some.
As for what I read:

Angel Sanctuary (My friend collects it though, not me. I borrow hers. I do have the 4th one though.)
Hana Kimi (Of course... I collect them and everyone borrows it.)
Inuyasha (I have the yellow ones that read left to right. I like the other way better).
Ceres: Celestial Legend ( I only have the first two).
Rurouni Kenshin (Haven't read them for awhile, nor have I read that latest ones my sister bought. >_< I'm behind)
Wolf's Rain (I haven't finished them, even though there's only like 2 volumes).

My sister's friend recomended some managa to me, and it looked really good but it's killing me because I can't rememeber the title. I'll ask and then write it down. There's alot af other's I'd like to read, but $10 gets a bit pricey when you don't have a job.

To say something unrelated to manga, who old are you?(Just out of curiousity, if it's ok).

Re: um...

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_yaten_kou_/ 2005-08-06 02:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Do you mind if I friend you?

I read Kenshin, but I've fallen behind. Last one I got was book 9. Is Angel Sanctuary good? It looks interesting.

Yeah, manga can get pretty expensive. I don't have a job either, so I buy it when I can. Sometimes my mom will buy some of them for me. She would prefer I read "actual books" (her words, not mine), but she still lets me get them.

It's ok. I'm 16. How old are you?

Re: um...

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_yaten_kou_/ 2005-08-06 06:27 pm (UTC)(link)
I just found out that I'm leaving tomorrow to go visit relatives, so I've friended you. I hope you don't mind.

I hope to get to chat more with you when I get back!

Re: um...

[identity profile] hana-to-yume.livejournal.com 2005-08-06 08:53 pm (UTC)(link)
I think Angel Sanctuary is really good. It's gets alittle complicated and it's not as light as Hana Kimi. Having said that, I still love it very much. It's really interesting and quite romantic :)

Yeah, I've gotten the "real book" routine too. But it doesn't bother my mother enough for her to try to stop me. I read 'real books' too though...so there's a compromise.

...I'm 14 (almost 15! well not quite of..) I figured you were probably older than me. But hey friends share interests, not age(if I can refer to you as a friend after our little comment communication)

Speaking of friends, sure it's fine. I'm adding you..

I hope you have a good visit (assuming they're the nice relatives, not the ones that everyone has and wishes they didn't)

Re: um...

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_yaten_kou_/ 2005-08-15 09:59 am (UTC)(link)
I did have a wonderful time, because I love visiting my relatives and I got to spend time with my cousin (who happens to be one of my best friends).

I don't mind the fact that you're younger than me. A couple of my other anime loving friends are younger than me too. :)

Re: um...

[identity profile] hana-to-yume.livejournal.com 2005-08-15 11:26 am (UTC)(link)
It's good that you had a fun time, but it's even cooler that your cousin is one of your best friends. You really lucky! I have two cousins in ohio, but neither are my age. The one who is a little older than me never comes to visit (I'm always stuck babysitting the much younger one when he comes, but he's not that bad). My other cousins are still little(er) and live so far that I haven't seen them in, (pauses to count on fingers) nearly 5 years.

By the way, I got the 7th Hana Kimi yesterday. I really enjoyed readin g it and explained the entire series to my mum. She say she understands why I like manga now(that better mean less nagging). I had to hold back tears when I saw the next one wasn't due till october. (overly dramatic Nakatsu moment)

Re: um...

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_yaten_kou_/ 2005-08-15 02:00 pm (UTC)(link)
My cousin is actually 2 years older than me, but we've been good friends since we were little. We only get to see each other a few times a year, so it's always exciting when we get together.

I got the 7th Hana Kimi on Friday. It was so good! I want to know more about Sano's brother. I always hate having to wait for the next volume to be released!

It's cool that you explained Hana Kimi to your mom. It's great that she (hopefully) understands. I don't bother trying to explain most anime & manga to my mom because she can be pretty strict about certain things. I don't want to take the chance that she'll find something inappropriate and not let me read anymore manga.

Re: um...

[identity profile] hana-to-yume.livejournal.com 2005-08-15 06:27 pm (UTC)(link)
I would never try to explain any manga to my dad, but I jsut gave my mum the basic story plot. I was very careful to censure out anything she may have thought was inappropriate. But either way, I can't imagine her trying to ban it if she found something she didn't like. She wouldn't actually read the manga, so what I don't tell her, she doesn't know...
When I was little, my cousin and I were close, but she's so much different now, plus she's eighteen, so the age gap seems more significant. I'm sad though because she's making plans to move to Louisiana in a year. I would barely be able to see her if she did, and I doubt we'll get to visit any this summer. Schools jsut coming too quickly. (I hate actually writing that. It makes it seem more true...)

Re: um...

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_yaten_kou_/ 2005-08-16 09:37 am (UTC)(link)
I wouldn't bother trying to explain manga to my dad. He's not quite as strict as my mom is, so I'm not worried he would take it away. I just don't think my dad would get why I like it so much, even if I tried to explain it to him.

It's too bad you won't be able to see your cousin. I can't believe that summer is almost over. I wish it wasn't ending.
This summer seemed short, yet long at the same time (if that makes any sense).

Re: um...

[identity profile] hana-to-yume.livejournal.com 2005-08-16 01:19 pm (UTC)(link)
I know what you mean about summer. It was kinda long/short. I think I wasted mine, which I regret. If I became evil dictator, I'd definetly fine people for that. (It seems like fun)
I had to go to school today to get a schedule change, so I was forced to see a few people in my grade. It was nerve racking to be around them again. Somehow during the summer, I never see anyone my age except for friends. I had been getting so use to it.
How's your school. You'd be going in 10th...11th grade? What kind of classes do you have.

Re: um...

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_yaten_kou_/ 2005-08-17 07:51 am (UTC)(link)
I had to go register for school early this morning. I'll be going in to 11th grade (which is hard for me to believe). My high school is pretty nice. For classes this year I have english, physics, civics/economy, and algebra 2/trigonometry. Then I have bunch of elective classes, like history of Africa & Asia and intro to sociology. I'm really excited about my electives.

Are you going into 9th grade?

Re: um...

[identity profile] hana-to-yume.livejournal.com 2005-08-17 02:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, ninth grade...
bleh
I heard it's an easy year though since we don't have any of those big tests. Teranova, I think they're called. Either way, there are still things to complicate the matter, like the dinner dance. I'm considering skipping that...
It's so cool that you get electives like history of Africa and Asia. I think that would be really interesting. They don't offer that at my school. Either you must go to a different kind of school (private or something) or we suck even worse than I thought<---a bit lacking on school spirit. Electives for me are things like band...and art... I wanted wood shop, but I got 3-D art instead. It sounds fun, though I don't thing I have much skill for sculpting and such.
Aside for that I have English, math, biology, and "american culture"(They should just save themselves the trouble and call it social studies) I took all honors, so I'm hoping we'll read some good books in English. Our school isn't know for it's captivating reading selection.
I guess my school isn't all that bad, I'm just feeling pessimistic. Yours sounds nice anyways. What's it called.

Re: um...

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_yaten_kou_/ 2005-08-18 08:17 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, ninth grade was an easier year. I'm worried about all the huge tests I'll have this year, like the ACT.

I don't go to a private school, just a regular public one, although it is one of the nicer public schools in our area. Actually, I'm lucky that I get to take history of Asia & Africa because last year they had to cancel the class. Not enough students signed up for it.

Band was one of my electives the past two years. I decided not to take it again this year, because I wasn't having fun anymore. It was becoming more about being serious musicians and having playing tests, than playing for fun and enjoying your instrument.

I think 3-D art sounds like a fun elective. I don't know if we have that one at our school. One thing I wish our school had is an anime club. I keep hoping we'll eventually get one.

I'm kinda depressed that school is starting soon.

Re: um...

[identity profile] hana-to-yume.livejournal.com 2005-08-18 01:05 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't think our school would ever get an anime club. Not enough people are into it. If only they knew what they were missing. One day, they'll regret not having read any manga.(And then I'll rub it in).
Band for me is slowly losing it's appeal. The teacher is a huge cow of a woman with a bad attitude. Actually, she's really bitchy and mean. She always makes snide comments about how our class sucks and that we're her least favorite to teach. Were all waiting for her to croak. According to her, she taught alot of our parents, so she's way past her limit. What did you play in the band?

Re: um...

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_yaten_kou_/ 2005-08-19 09:08 am (UTC)(link)
I think there's enough people for a small anime club at my school. I hope maybe we can get one this year. And you're very right. People really don't know what they're missing. They're too closed-minded to even read manga. *hates close-minded people*

In band I played the flute for five years. I used to really enjoy it. What instrument do you play? Your band teacher sounds like a real witch. I'd hate that. Maybe you'll get lucky and she'll decide to retire.

Re: um...

[identity profile] hana-to-yume.livejournal.com 2005-08-19 09:52 am (UTC)(link)
yeah, retire or die...(Like Dr. Umeda, only thinks it, never says it) Actually, Ms.K(our teacher) was in the hospital for heart problems, and when she came back, she more or less blamed it on us stressing her out.
I play the oboe. I enjoy it, but I don't like practicing that much...<--alittle lazy
Theres only one other oboe in our band, and he's threatening to quit. I hope he doesn't, or I'll be the last of my kind, which would be lonely.
I always thought the flute was neat. It would have been fun to play, I think. We have a ton of them in our band, but,(no offense to the instrument) none of them are that good. Only the first chair is worth hearing. I started playing clarinet a little. I have one that my dad got me really super cheap. Its too broke to play(need new pads, I believe), but I used my friends with my mouth piece. I stoped after awhile, but I'd still like to get mine fixed. ::enough babbling about band::

Re: um...

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_yaten_kou_/ 2005-08-21 06:37 am (UTC)(link)
I thought about playing the oboe, or clarinet, but in the end I chose the flute. I think the oboe is a neat instrument, but there's not a lot of people that play it. We didn't even have one in our band last year.

So, yeah. To talk about something else, do you like reading books? Reading is one of my favorite pastimes.

Re: um...

[identity profile] hana-to-yume.livejournal.com 2005-08-21 11:12 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, definetly! I love to read. I even bring books to our seldom family gatherings and go off to an abandoned room and read. I love the books by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes and Annette Curtis Klaus especially. Of theirs, Hawksong(Atwater-Rhodes) and Blood&Chocoalte(Klaus) are my favorte. Amelia Atwater-Rhodes wrote her first book when she was 13, which I thought was amazing.
Aside from them, I like a good variety of books. I enjoy mystery, fantasy, science fiction, horror and some drama<--(I guess thats what some would be classified as). I use to like historical fiction, but I sort of grew out of that phase.
Even though Stephen King is so famous, he's not one of my favorite authors. Don't get me wrong, I like some of his books, but alot of them start to get redundant and very drawn out. That why I like NightShift the best. If you haven't read it, it's his collection of short stories.
Do you like to write stories? I use to be really into writing and I had about 8 stories saved mon my computer that I was slowly working on. But, my dad accidently deleted all of them when he was working on my computer. Since then, I haven't written anything.(I was very bitter about it for awhile)
Currently, I'm reading Crown Duel. It's a book my friend lent me. I haven't really gotten into it yet, so I might read something else. <--because you really had to know that...

Re: um...

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_yaten_kou_/ 2005-08-22 09:56 am (UTC)(link)
Yay! A fellow book lover!

I like to read a variety of books, too. I normally read fiction over non-fiction. Fantasy is my favorite genre. I also like sci-fi, drama, some mystery, and some historical fiction. I have to say, I'm not really big on horror books.

I haven't read any books by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes or Annette Curtis Klaus. What kind of books do they write?

Have you read Harry Potter? I ask because they're some of my favorite books.

I also read tons of fanfiction when I'm on the internet. I also have huge folders of it stuffed under my bed. I love it.

I like writing, but I'm afraid I'm not very good with original stories. I like to write short pieces of fanfiction though. I can't say how good they actually are. It's too bad your stories got deleated. I bet they would have turned out wonderful.

I've read Crown Duel. I thought it was very good. The first part of the book was alright, but it gets much better in the 2nd part (which is entitled Court Duel).

Right now I'm reading Eragon by Christopher Paolini. I like it very much. I'm excited because the sequel to it is out this week.

Re: um...

[identity profile] hana-to-yume.livejournal.com 2005-08-23 12:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Sorry, I usually like to reply right away, but I was over at my gramdma's house.
Amelia Atwater-Rhodes and Annette Curtis Klaus both are fantasy authors. Amelia's first 4 books are about vampires. They're all really good, and not horror, as the whole vampire thing might imply. The 5th and 6 ones are in a series together. They're about two nations of shape shifters that are war. It would take awhile to explain the plot, but I HIGHLY recomend them. The first is called Hawksong and the second is Snake Charm. Everyone I know thats read them have loved them.
Klaus's books are Blood&Chocolate, which is about wearwolves(::eyes widen:: Its REALLY really super good.);Silver Kiss(Vampires, it's good, but depressing); and Alien Secrets(its futuristic, about a girl on this spaceship who is trying to solve a mystery. Wow, that sounded unbelieveably boring and kindy-ish, but its a good book)

Ah mah gawd, yes I've read that Harry Potter books. (Momentary spaz moment.) I have the 5th and 6th, my sister has the others. I really like them alot, alot. In the 6th, I didn't expect them to kill Dumbeldore. It had jsut never occured to me. But now, upon rethinking, I guess they needed to so that Harry is completly on his own, whatever that is good for. And it was a major twist! I especially liked the whole paring up of Harry and Ginny, but I didn't like at all how he jsut broke it off with her at the end. (I don't care if it was for her protection!! ::waves fist. ::highly bitter::) I can't wait for the 7th, but it also bugs me that that will be the end of the series. I want to know what happens to him later on too.
Fanfiction...I don't think I've even heard of that, though I think I can deduce what it is. Neeless to say, that makes me not a fan. (But I'm sure I would be good if I read some! Maybe you could point me in the right direction).
I've never read Eragon, though my friend has, so it's only a matter of time until I do. We trade books around a lot. I'd stopped reading Crown Duel and instead read The Mediator: Reunion, by Meg Cabot. It was really good. (I'm a fan of the series. I've been reading the Mediator books out of order though. That was #3 and I've already read 5.) I'm going to go back to Crown Duel eventually, though.
And about my stories...your very flattering. I don't know if they were actually any good, but they satisfied me.
I'd say this reply has gotten a little lengthy...

Re: um...

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_yaten_kou_/ 2005-08-23 05:17 pm (UTC)(link)
I'll keep the books you recommended in mind. They sound really interesting!

I love Harry Potter. I thought Dumbledore might eventually die, but I didn't think he'd die like that. I really loved Harry & Ginny and Ron & Hermione. I was upset when Harry broke up with Ginny too! Actually, by the end of the book I was highly emotional and I started yelling at Harry when he broke it off with Ginny. I know how you feel about the 7th book. I'm desperate to know what happens, but then it'll be over. I hope Harry doesn't end up dying!

Sorry! I shouldn't assume that just because someone's an anime fan they know about fanfiction. Fanfiction (also known as fanfic) is when someone writes a story using someone else's characters. There's fanfiction for all kinds of stuff, including anime, manga, books, movies, and tv series. I recommend looking at www.fanfiction.net . There's tons of stories for so many different series there! You do have to do some searching to sort out the good stories from the total crap though. That's the one downside. But, there's a handy dandy search feature to help you find what you're looking for. If you want story recommendations for a particular series I can try to help you (if it's a series that I normally read fanfiction for).

I haven't read The Mediator, but I do read The Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot. I really like them. They're pretty funny. I started reading them after I saw the first movie.

Re: um...

[identity profile] hana-to-yume.livejournal.com 2005-08-24 05:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Harry dying?! See, that possibility never occured to me either. Maybe I don't consider enough things, but either way, it would be horrible if they killed off Harry too. Imagine how all the fans would react to that. Especially the fanatical ones. I imagine that J.K. Rowling would have her house stormed by a mob, complete with pitchforks.
I checked out that fanfiction site you mentioned. It was really neat, I thought. I only got as far as reading a bit of a Harry Potter story. (My sister kicked me off her computer). It was actually really good. It was one about Draco and Hermione being in love, and something about Ron being evil. (I didn't get very far). It sounds far fetched, but I liked it because, well, I have to say that I've always had a soft spot for Draco. Though I try to avoid the Harry Potter movies, I did see this one cast interview. I really like the personality of the guy who played Draco, so that may have contributed to it a bit. Either way, I'm going to continue with that story and see how it turns out. Do you ever post any of the fanfiction that you write? Also,(while I'm asking questions) which do you like to read and write about?
Blech, I saw in your Livejournal that you went back to school. We're not due back until the 30th. Thankfully.

Re: um...

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_yaten_kou_/ 2005-08-24 07:11 pm (UTC)(link)
At first the possibility of Harry dying didn't occur to me either. Then I looked at some Harry Potter sites online and people were speculating as to whether Harry would live or die in the next book. There were also some interesting theories about Harry being a horcrux.

I like to watch all the Harry Potter movies, but I find the books are so much better. I was very disappointed with the Prisoner of Azkaban movie. It's best that I don't get started on that.

Glad you like the fanfiction. It's a whole lot of fun to read! I've mostly read fanfiction for Sailor Moon, Cardcaptor Sakura, Inuyasha, Fushigi Yuugi, Fruits Basket, Gravitation, Descendants of Darkness, Pirates of the Caribbean, Star Wars, and Harry Potter (wow, that's a lot). If you want reccomendations for any of those I can try and give you some. Recently I've mostly been reading Descendants of Darkness fanfics. I also really like reading Harry Potter fanfiction and my favorite ones are ones that couple Sirius & Remus (I'm not sure if you like that sort of thing though). Right now I've been reading lots of fanfics that pair guys (those kind are normally referred to as slash or shounen-ai). I'm not sure what your feelings on that are. I know it's not everyone's cup of tea. The fanfics I've written are a couple of Sirius & Remus, a little bit of Descendants of Darkness, and a little bit of Gravitation. I don't have them posted online though. I can be pretty shy about my work. I haven't really shown it to anyone.

Yeah, I'm back at school. It's loads of fun (can you sense the sarcasm?). Your lucky that you're not going back 'til the end of the month!

Re: um...

[identity profile] hana-to-yume.livejournal.com 2005-08-24 09:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Harry as a horcrux. That is an interesting theory. Even though Harry would have to die, I think it would still be a good enough read that I could cope with it.
Ah, the Harry Potter movies... I've been forced to watch the first two, but managed to tune them out and avoid the third. I generally hate movie remakes because it jsut irkes me that they don't hold true to the book. I understand that some things need to be cut out, but the characters never look like I think they do. Especially in Harry Potter. I mean, they've got their basic features, there's jsut something about them that seems wrong. I think it's just me. (Some remakes are good though! I can't generalize).
Ohh, Descendants of Darkness. <--delighted. My friend lends me the maga to read. I've only gotten some of the way through the second because it's a new collection for her, and then it took awhile for her to lend them to me. I like it none the less. Maybe I'll check out fanfiction for it.
Eh, I don't think Sirius and Remus together would be my cup of juice. (Note: I don't like tea, or atleast only VERY few kinds. I get picky about that.) Not that I have anything against guys together at all. In terms of 'real life', since it doesnt apply to me, I've jsut never really cared. ::small shrug:: I like it when Tonks supposedly liked one of them, though I wish she would have made it so that she liked Sirius. Her and Remus together jsut seemed so out of order.
I know what you mean about being shy about your work. Thinking about, I don't think I even let anyone read mine. At all.
Lately, my mother has taken to reminding me everyday that I go back to school on tuesday. I know she doesn't mean to do it on purpose but still...

Re: um...

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_yaten_kou_/ 2005-08-25 04:09 pm (UTC)(link)
I like watching the Harry Potter movies. I just usually end up (at least) minorly disappointed at the end. I still plan on going to see Goblet of Fire when it comes out.

Descendants of Darkness is one of my favorite series at the moment. I finally saw the anime around a week ago and I have all the currently released volumes of manga (I'm impatiently waiting for #7 to be released next month). I've been reading fanfiction that pairs Tsuzuki & Hisoka (I find them adorable). If you want, I can give you some cute Tsuzuki/Hisoka fanfic recommendations.

I'm pretty open-minded when it comes to relationships. Actually, I think it was reading manga and watching anime that made me into such an open-minded person. That and the fact that one of my good friends came out of the closet earlier this year. I've been really supportive of him.

*shrugs* Not everyone likes the same pairings. I didn't really give the pairing of Sirius & Remus a lot of thought. I'd always really liked both their characters, but that was it. One day I ended up reading a really well written fan essay in support of the pairing. It even cited possible examples of their relationship from the books. I really got into the pairing when I read "The Shoebox Project", which is a really fabulous piece of Sirius/Remus fanfiction, set back when they were still at Hogwarts. It's one of my most favorite pieces of fanfiction. I am in love with the authors' style of writing.

Maybe someday I'll be brave and let a select few of my friends read the little work I've done. The thought of my real life friends reading it makes me kind of nervous.

Do you have an e-mail address or a screen name? I've been enjoying talking to you!

Sure, I'll take the fanfic recomendations for Tsuzuki/Hisoka. And also, which ones did you read that you liked so much about Sirius/Remus? It may be interesting to check them out.
I think being to be open minded is nesscesary. I hope I am, but I think it takes an outsider's point of view to know. It's really good about your friend and all. If anything like that would happen at our school, that person would be made fun of so bad, so I hope he doesn't get any shit.
hey..::poke poke:: you should let me read some of your stuff... If you were afriad I would make fun of you (even though i wouldn't) you may still be comforted by the thought that I'm too far away from you to actually do any real teasing. <--just put you on the spot...opps. Its ok if you don't want to. It was just an idea....

btw, I jsut relized that it souded kind of harsh, and rude, the way I said that your friend would be made fun of at my school. What I did neglect to mention is that he would be made fun of becuase everyone at my school are idealistic, closeminded pieces of...pond scum. And they're anti manga(for the most part). So, It would be a "It's tehm not him" situation. I jsut wanted to make sure that you didnt misunderstand me and take offense.

Oh, don't worry. You didn't offend me. The sad thing is most people are very close-minded. (They make me really mad.) My friend doesn't get a whole lot of shit at our school, because he's only told his good friends. I know there are people who suspect he's gay, but they don't really know. If everyone knew he'd get a lot more problems.

Here's the links for a bunch of short Tsuzuki/Hisoka stories:

Have fun!

As for Sirius/Remus here's the link to the essay I mentioned:

As for fanfiction there's a ton of good stories that I've read, but I definitely recommend reading "The Shoebox Project". It's 23 chapters at the moment and still going. It's so funny and very sweet. It also has wonderful illustrations to go with the story. Here's the link: http://www.livejournal.com/community/shoebox_project/
You'll need to go back a page of entries on the site to find the 1st chapters.

Let me know what you think of the fanfics!

I don't think I'd mind letting you read a few of the stories. I think it's easier letting someone you don't know read them, than letting people you actually know read them. I need to type them up though, because right now they're in a notebook. I want to proofread them a little, too. Once I've done that (it could take a few days for me to get off my lazy butt and do it) I'll send them your way.

Here's my e-mail and AIM. I'm not on AIM a lot, but I pop up from time to time. I'll probably be on sometime this weekend.

Thanks for all the links! I haven't even started on the Tsuzuki/Hisoka stuff (I haven't had much computer time today) but I did read the essay about Remus/Sirius. I was so...happily suprised. I really enjoyed reading the entire thing. I was fun. And, I haden't expected it to be so convincing, but boy, it was. I'm about as converted as I could ever be. The author did bring up a lot of good points, things that I would never have considered or noticed, I don't know which one.
I'm really looking forward to reading your stuff. Take your time with. I've been known to be pushy, so if I end up baggering you, you can jsut tell me to shove it. So yeah, it's at your leisure.
I'm going to have to slowly wade my way into all the Tsuzuki/Hisoka links, but I'm definetly sending the essay link to a friend of mine. She's into Harry Potter, so it will be interesting to see whether or not she adopts the same point of view about Remus and Sirius.
(Pauses to think about the essay.) (Wonders how I never noticed the things like them always staring at each other; and acting as couple; and mostly that they didn't notice girls; they never had a girlfriend or anything....)(goes on and on)
I wonder how JKR would react if she read that essay. Would she be like "Oh my god no!!", or "I was wondering who would figure that out", or jsut to be annoying "Well, I never decided, I jsut made notes about that on a whim, to see if it raised any suspicions. But, it doesn't mean anything".<-proves she tortures readers. Gah, maybe she jsut added in that Tonks thing just confuse us. That does throw the theory off completly.
Now I'd really, really like to go to a signing or meet her so that I can jsut shove the essay uder her nose and run away.

The essay is awesome, isn't it? I know a few people who've been converted into fans after reading it.

Yeah, I wonder how JKR would react to the essay. I'm sure it would be am amusing sight. I've often wondered if JKR meant for them to have a relationship (there's an awful lot of stuff in the subtext). She's so tricky. I'm sure the woman loves confusing us. And then she threw the Tonks thing in. That made a lot of Sirius/Remus fans upset. A lot of fans have either taken the view that Remus is moving on in a relationship with Tonks, after Sirius's death, or that Remus doesn't really love Tonks back. Personally, for now, I've just taken to ignoring Tonks's feelings.

I'm thinking I'll send you two of my short fics when I'm done revising them. I'm happier with them than I am with the other two and they won't need as much fixing up.
